We’re searching for an Apparel Designer, Athleisure + Outerwear with a sharp trend eye, elevated taste level, and strong understanding of contemporary athleisure, casual sportswear, and outerwear. This role requires a highly creative designer with strong technical skills and experience designing knits, athleisure and outerwear that are fashion-forward, comfort-driven, and aligned with the Comfrt brand DNA. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Translate trend, cultural, competitive, and fabric insights into elevated, commercially successful product </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Design across athleisure and outerwear categories with strong understanding of silhouette, proportion, comfort, functionality, and performance </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Research emerging trends, fabrics, trims, washes, and white space opportunities relevant to the Comfrt customer </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Create detailed tech packs, CADs, BOMs, and construction callouts for accurate execution </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Partner closely with Fabric and Product Development and overseas vendors throughout development, fittings, proto reviews, and production </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Participate in fittings and provide direction on fit, comfort, construction, and garment functionality </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Develop seasonal color palettes and support cohesive assortment building across categories </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Create and manage visual line plans to support merchandising strategy and product flow</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Design within cost targets while maintaining elevated product integrity</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high SKU count, fast-paced environment</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Product Development, and Production teams to bring product to market quickly and successfully</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Continuously evolve and elevate the Comfrt design aesthetic while maintaining alignment to brand DNA </li></ul>Skills and Qualifications: <ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Strong understanding of athleisure, activewear, and outerwear construction techniques </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Expertise in performance fabrics, fabric finishes, stretch recovery, moisture-wicking, insulation, waterproofing, wind resistance, and durability standards </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Knowledge of garment engineering for movement, comfort, layering, and functionality </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience designing knits, technical outerwear, puffers, jackets, and performance-driven apparel </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Ability to create detailed technical sketches, construction callouts, BOMs, and tech packs </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Knowledge of trims and functional components including zippers, drawcords, toggles, elastic systems, seam sealing, linings, snaps, and performance hardware </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Understanding of special performance finishes, wash techniques, garment dye, and fabric treatments </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience partnering closely with product development and overseas factories throughout sample execution and fittings </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Ability to evaluate proto samples for fit, balance, mobility, construction, and functionality </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Strong knowledge of trend research, competitive market analysis, and commercial product positioning within athleisure and outerwear </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems ● Experience working in high SKU count, fast-paced environments with multiple seasonal launches </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Strong understanding of merchandising and assortment building across core, seasonal, and fashion product categories</li></ul> You Are: <ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">7+ years in apparel design with a portfolio showing exceptional taste and commercial success.
