Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant café team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling and register accuracy
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
  • Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times
  • Assist with food preparation when necessary, including serving light snacks or baked goods
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
  • Support sales goals by promoting menu items and upselling when appropriate

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
  • Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience with food preparation, serving, or retail math is beneficial
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends if needed
