Entry-Level Cyber Security Analyst

Responsibilities:
Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools. Analyze security logs and network traffic to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Help develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Participate in security awareness training programs for employees. Assist in the configuration and maintenance of security tools and technologies. Contribute to security audits and compliance efforts. Report on security metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Solid understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles. Familiarity with cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques. Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus software is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are desirable. Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity.
