Hotel General Manager
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hotel General Manager with a track record of driving revenue growth in highly competitive markets. Responsible for overseeing daily operations, optimizing occupancy and average daily rate (ADR), implementing strategic sales and marketing initiatives, and enhancing guest satisfaction. Leverages data analysis, dynamic pricing, and cost control to maximize profitability while leading and developing high-performing teams.Proven ability to outperform local competitors and deliver sustained increases in RevPAR and overall hotel performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Oversee guest relations by ensuring personalized service, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Manage hotel operations efficiently by implementing policies, procedures, and standards aligned with brand expectations.
- Drive revenue management strategies by analyzing occupancy rates, pricing models, and market trends to maximize profitability.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control initiatives to ensure operational sustainability.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and develop staff members to foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while ensuring the hotel adheres to all legal requirements.
- Utilize multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to handle guest inquiries and reservations effectively.
- Coordinate night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial records are maintained overnight.
- Cultivate strong relationships with guests through exceptional service delivery and personalized attention.
- Collaborate with human resources on staffing needs, performance evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new guests while retaining loyal clientele within the resort or hotel setting.
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong background in hospitality management principles including guest services, revenue management, budgeting, and human resources.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and staff.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette across multi-line phone systems.
- Knowledge of front desk operations, night audit procedures, and guest relations best practices.
- Experience working in resort settings or large hotels is preferred but not required.
