- Ensure software updates and security patches are applied as required by Information Assurance security standards as set by Department of Defense and Department of the Army regulations and directives.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for systems security accreditation package submissions as well as for scheduled and unscheduled systems security inspection.
- Develop the system data backup and recovery plan for all Systems Management Team supported systems and ensures the successful execution of that plan.
- Coach junior members of the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques.
- Prepare statements of work, researches contract conflicts and recommends resolutions.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
- This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays.
- This position has been designated as an IAT Level II. Employee is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position within six months of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes maintaining Windows operating systems; integrating new IT systems into an organization; and performing Data Administration for an organization.The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing work independently that rarely requires editing or review by others.
