Position Overview: BLN24 is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to support a cloud-native, web- based modernization of a mission-critical forecasting system. The selected candidate will help build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, and Kubernetes deployments for modern micro-frontend and microservices-based applications. Tech Stack: React micro-frontends, Python/Node.js microservices, AWS EKS, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes Key Responsibilities: CI/CD & Automation<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for micro-frontends and microservices.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Implement automated testing, security scanning, including SAST/DAST, and deployment workflows.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Manage container builds and AWS ECR container registries.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Configure GitOps workflows.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support blue-green and canary deployment strategies.</li></ul> AWS Cloud Infrastructure<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Manage AWS services, including EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, CloudFront, API Gateway, and ALB.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support auto-scaling, cost optimization, disaster recovery, and multi-region deployments.</li></ul> Kubernetes Operations<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads, including Deployments, StatefulSets, and HPA.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Create and maintain Helm charts for application packaging.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Troubleshoot pod failures, resource constraints, and deployment issues.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support service mesh configuration, including Istio or Linkerd, as needed.</li></ul> Security & Compliance<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support FISMA High and FedRAMP Moderate compliance requirements.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Manage IAM policies, Secrets Manager, and KMS encryption.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support human-level validations for Gen-AI led test-driven design processes.</li></ul> Required Qualifications:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">1–2 years of DevOps experience.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">1+ year of AWS experience, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or EKS.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">1+ year of GitLab CI/CD experience, or comparable experience with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or Node.js.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK; Terraform preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Linux administration.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Git version control experience. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">AWS Certifications</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with real-time web applications, WebSocket, or WebGL</li></ul> What BLN24 brings to the Game: BLN24 benefits are game changing.
