Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes and menu specifications
  • Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards
  • Support menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
  • Handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with catering events and special functions as needed
  • Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food service environments
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including knife skills, meal preparation, and food safety protocols
  • Experience with menu planning and catering is a plus
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Familiarity with the food industry standards for safety, sanitation, and quality assurance
