Principal Software Engineer - Heroku Eventing, Metering and Usage

Lead the development of Heroku Eventing, Metering, and Usage systems to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform. Design and implement innovative solutions to support the eventing and metering needs of Heroku customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the software engineering team. Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to eventing and metering systems. Develop and maintain documentation for the eventing and metering systems. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in cloud computing, data analytics, and software engineering. Analyze data and provide insights to drive usage and adoption of the Heroku platform. Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions to identify and propose new features and improvements for the Heroku platform. Collaborate with product management to define and prioritize product roadmap items related to eventing, metering, and usage. Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the eventing and metering systems. Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and availability of the eventing and metering systems. Act as a technical expert and point of contact for any issues related to eventing, metering, and usage. Display strong leadership skills to motivate and drive the team towards achieving project goals and deadlines. Proactively identify and address potential risks and roadblocks in the development process. Communicate progress, updates, and challenges to stakeholders and senior management. Collaborate with other teams within Salesforce to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of the eventing and metering systems with other products.
