Job Title: Production SupervisorJob Description<ul><li>The Production Supervisor oversees shift operations in a high-volume automotive manufacturing and assembly environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement</li><li>Reporting to the Production Manager, this role leads Production Team Leaders and Production Team Associates, ensuring standardized work, effective training, and continuous improvement across all production activities</li></ul>Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Plan, assign, direct, and coordinate day-to-day activities for Production Team Leaders and Production Team Associates to meet production targets and customer requirements</li><li>Assist the Production Manager in determining and managing appropriate manpower levels to support efficient and effective shift operations</li><li>Train new and transferred employees on job duties and responsibilities, and support cross-training to build a flexible and knowledgeable workforce</li><li>Ensure all employees consistently follow standardized work processes, rotation schedules, and established production procedures</li><li>Track and report daily production performance, analyze results, and drive improvements where necessary to enhance output and efficiency</li><li>Work to improve first-run capabilities by identifying recurring issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions</li><li>Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, ergonomics, and operational efficiency</li><li>Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, procedures, plant standards, and safety rules across the shift</li></ul>Essential Skills<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of recent automotive experience in a Production Supervisor role</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of production supervisory experience or a minimum of five (5) years of team leadership experience in an automotive manufacturing facility</li><li>Proven experience supervising production teams in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing or assembly environment</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience guiding and motivating teams</li></ul>Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
