We partner with Brown departments, centers, institutes, and schools to develop degree and non-degree programs, and to support the recruitment, retention, and placement success of master’s students, including traditional, non-traditional, and professional students.</span></b></p><h1><br><b><u>Responsibilities:</u></b></h1><p><b><span>Reporting to the Director of Academic Innovation, this part-time, 3-month temporary position serves as a vital operational member of the Academic Innovation unit within the School of Professional Studies (SPS). The Program Coordinator is responsible for executing the essential administrative, data, and research functions that ensure the operational continuity and strategic growth of the School’s online graduate programs.</span></b></p> <p><b><span>The position centers on the technical and logistical frameworks of the program lifecycle and the maintenance of foundational academic systems. Key responsibilities include managing high-volume data integrity projects—such as registration and grade audits, scholarship allocation, and CRM/SIS database maintenance—as well as overseeing administrative workflows for course proposals and enrollment reporting.</span></b></p> <p><b><span>Additionally, this role plays a critical part in the expansion of the SPS portfolio by conducting comprehensive market research and benchmarking. The Coordinator performs secondary research on competitor landscapes and assists in the assembly of formal program proposals, providing the data-driven justifications necessary for leadership review and the development of new academic offerings. </span></b></p> <p><b><u>Major Responsibilities</u></b></p><p><b><b>Program Administration</b></b></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Maintain accurate records of student progress, program metrics, and other relevant data, both internally and via University CRM/SIS databases.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting program achievements and areas for improvement.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Monitor department inboxes and provide timely responses to student inquiries.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Allocate student scholarships each semester in the University’s Student Information System (SIS).</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Manage a variety of administrative functions across the online graduate portfolio.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Conduct end-of-semester grade audits and drafts academic warning or dismissal notifications as needed.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Contribute to academic calendar planning, dashboard management, and course registration & graduation audit processes.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Coordinate class visits for admitted students, including confirming date and time and sending follow-up surveys.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Maintain & update student & faculty onboarding google websites. </span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Other duties as assigned</span></b></p></li></ul><p><b><b>Academic Innovation Administration</b></b></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Conduct comprehensive market benchmarking to support the design of new academic offerings.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Perform secondary research on competitor curricula, pricing, and delivery models.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Assist in the drafting and assembly of formal program proposals, ensuring all administrative components and data-driven justifications are prepared for leadership review.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Other duties as assigned</span></b></p></li></ul><h1><br><b><u>Qualifications:</u></b></h1><p><b><b>Education and Experience</b></b></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of administrative experience is required, preferably in higher education or an education setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</span></b></p></li></ul> <p><b><b>Job Competencies</b></b></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Familiarity with CRM, LMS and SIS systems (Slate, Canvas and Banner preferred).</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>High-level knowledge of Google Suite, including deep understanding of google sheets (or Excel).</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Ability to work independently on task-oriented projects with minimal supervision.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Effective written communication skills for administrative reporting and internal coordination.</span></b></p></li></ul><p></p><h1><b><u>Salary Grade:</u></b></h1><p><b><span>8</span></b></p><p></p><h1><b><u>Additional Information: </u></b></h1><p><b><span>Applicants are asked to include a resume and cover letter.
