Your role and responsibilities:
The Sales Leader – Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) & Named End User Accounts leads sales and business development activities related to products, systems, and services for defined industry segment(s) EPC and Named End User accounts for the Electrification Division in the United States and ensures that IBC the organization substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market. You will develop and implement a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales. You will also drive and enhance cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market.
While this is a remote position, preference is for candidates to be located in a major metro area in the US.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in the United States.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Develops and executes EPC and end‑user market strategies—driving penetration, prioritization, and long‑term growth through data‑driven planning, industry insights, and coordinated engagement across divisions.
- Leads high‑performing segment teams by setting clear priorities, strengthening sales effectiveness, and ensuring strong ABB representation with key accounts, influencers, and industry organizations.
- Builds and maintains strategic customer and partner relationships while enabling cross‑functional collaboration, market intelligence sharing, and alignment on product gaps, opportunities, and major project pursuits.
- Oversees organizational performance through structured reporting, account planning, capability development, and continuous improvement to ensure readiness for large contracts and consistent year‑over‑year growth.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or Business.
- 20+ years of relevant experience in EPC, Business Development and/ or Sales Leadership
- Experience in developing C-level relationships, being an advocate for the customer.
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, influence and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to translate customer requirements into actionable solutions, strong analytical thinking and commercial acumen to create a business aligned strategy.
- Self-driven, collaborative, resilient, energetic, enthusiastic and inclusive; creating or responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs as well as managing ambiguity. Tolerant of ambiguity and dynamic markets.
- Results oriented execution mindset.
- Able to travel 50% or as needed.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
