Senior Individual Disability Claims Specialist

Job Description:

  • Analyze medical, financial, and other claim documents.

  • Provide accurate claims decisions in a time sensitive and fast- paced environment, while adhering to all state and department of insurance regulations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years insurance claim handling experience (Individual Disability Claims)
  • A college or university degree, or high school diploma with extensive prior relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking requiring analysis and/or investigation
  • Experience providing outstanding customer service
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing competing priorities with deadlines
  • Negotiating skills, solution strategies and ability to apply appropriate resources
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
