Senior Individual Disability Claims Specialist
Job Description:
- Be a decision maker. Focus on solving complex problems, while making timely, but thoughtful decisions to resolve client issues.
- Analyze medical, financial, and other claim documents.

- Provide accurate claims decisions in a time sensitive and fast- paced environment, while adhering to all state and department of insurance regulations.

- Work on department innovations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years insurance claim handling experience (Individual Disability Claims)
- A college or university degree, or high school diploma with extensive prior relevant work experience
- Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking requiring analysis and/or investigation
- Experience providing outstanding customer service
- Attention to detail with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience prioritizing competing priorities with deadlines
- Negotiating skills, solution strategies and ability to apply appropriate resources
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
