Description:

  • Develop novel geospatial data processing models to extract information from raw and partially processed sensor data.
  • Create highly reliable software and machine learning systems that task remote sensor payloads on hundreds of satellites in low Earth orbit and process the collected information.
  • Own modeling and software work end to end, from identifying core needs through prototyping, development, testing, production rollout, and ongoing support.
  • Design space information systems across all phases of development.
  • Build internal tools that improve team efficiency and help create secure, reliable, and autonomous software systems.
  • Support the full software lifecycle, including development, testing, and operational support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 1+ years of experience in applied machine learning engineering, full stack development, and data science.
  • 1+ years of development experience in C, C++, or Python.
  • Experience applying modern computer vision algorithms at scale.
  • Experience with software used in real-world applications and projects.
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Experience developing in Linux server environments, including SSH, scripting, and configuration.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or implementing highly performant databases.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Benefits:

  • Pay range of $125,000 to $145,000 for Software Engineer Level I and $145,000 to $175,000 for Software Engineer Level II.
