SQL Database Administrator - Need Locals

<p><strong>Database Administrator</strong></p><p><strong>Long-term contract; Possibility of contract to hire</strong></p><p><strong>100% remote, but must live in DFW</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>This is starting as a long-term contract and could convert to full-time later down the road.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Hours: M-F Daytime Hours</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p><strong>SQL Database Administrators</strong> for <strong>SQL Server Applications</strong> (Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS)) to manage administrative operations of the school district’s Student System PowerSchool, <strong>Data Warehouse,</strong> <strong>Laserfiche document management</strong>, and other <strong>SQL Server-based databases</strong> and <strong>applications</strong>, and to perform the following duties.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Assist in <strong>installing</strong>, <strong>configuring, maintaining, </strong>&<strong> supporting Microsoft Business Intelligence</strong></li><li><strong>(MSBI) applications</strong> & <strong>SQL Server databases</strong> (Latest versions) in <strong>production</strong>, <strong>development</strong>, <strong>UAT</strong> and <strong>test</strong> environments.</li><li>Assists in the <strong>development</strong> of high-quality, efficient <strong>ETL applications leveraging TransactSQL</strong> <strong>stored procedures</strong> and other <strong>ETL environments.</strong></li><li><strong>Monitor</strong> the <strong>SQL Server database/Business Intelligence</strong> environment, including <strong>ETL Jobs</strong>, <strong>Database Refreshes </strong>and<strong> Maintenance jobs.</strong></li><li>Perform <strong>backup</strong> and <strong>restore all databases</strong>.</li><li>Assist in <strong>deploying database scripts</strong> requested by the <strong>Application Development Team.</strong></li><li><strong>Managing database schemas</strong>, <strong>objects</strong>, <strong>Tables, Views, Functions, stored procedures, triggers, </strong>and Cursors using <strong>Transact-SQL</strong> for <strong>various business applications.</strong></li><li><strong>Developing</strong> and <strong>implementing</strong> <strong>database security policies</strong>.</li><li><strong>Create</strong> and <strong>maintain reports</strong> involving a variety of features using <strong>SSRS, QlikView, and Power BI</strong>.</li><li>Error handling and debugging coding issues and troubleshooting production problems.</li><li>Works with the team to create and maintain best-practice standards and procedures guidelines.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited university, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology.</li><li>8 years of experience performing <strong>SQL Server Applications (MSBI, SQL) Database Administration</strong> on <strong>Windows platforms</strong>.</li><li>Basic experience in <strong>ETL design</strong> and <strong>development</strong>, working with <strong>SQL stored procedures </strong>and/or<strong> ETL tools </strong>such as<strong> Microsoft SSIS</strong>.</li><li>Must be willing to work in an on-call production support model</li></ul>
