<p><strong>Department: </strong>Finance</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Remote<br><br></p><strong>Description<br><br></strong>FIFA26 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Tax Manager. Reporting organisationally to the Head of Financial Reporting, the successful candidate will be based in Miami, FL, and play a crucial role in leading and managing tax-related matters as well as providing specialist technical tax advice and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local statutory requirements in the United States and Canada.<br><br><strong>THE POSITION<br><br></strong>The main responsibilities and oversights of the Tax Manager for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include: <ul><li>Tax accounting and reconciliation: Assist in maintaining the sale and use tax related accounting records and periodical reconciliations.</li><li>Manage periodical sales and use tax returns filing and remittance.</li><li>Lead processes with state registration in new states, where applicable.</li><li>Annual tax returns: Assist in preparation of U.S. federal and state Tax returns for tax-exempt organizations under section 501(c) (4) and supportive workpapers, prepare required IRS Tax Forms for domestic and foreign independent contractors; assist with annual Tax Return in Canada.</li><li>Technical tax advice: Provide innovative tax planning opportunities and mitigate tax related risks, drive process improvements, and make recommendations.</li><li>Internal control systems: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.</li><li>Audit: Prepare and provide required documentation to respond to financial audits performed by external auditors.</li><li>IRS and CRA: Manage and coordinate tax audits, respond to IRS/CRA and state auditors’ information and document requests.</li><li>External partners: Work with tax consultants to ensure tax compliance and mitigate associated tax risks.</li><li>Internal partners: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, legal, and compliance, to address tax-related issues and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.</li><li>Other items: As requested, assist, coordinate and review transfer pricing requirements, intercompany agreements, country-by-country filing requirements and any other tax relevant items, as well as handling various ad-hoc projects as they arise.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>YOUR PROFILE<br><br></strong><strong>Education & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Degree in Taxation, Accounting or Business Administration.</li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.</li></ul><strong>Work Experience & SKills</strong><ul><li>5+ years of working experience with the United States and international taxation.</li><li>Big 10 or experience in working for a large assurance or tax advisory firm.</li><li>Knowledge of sale and use taxes (SUT) and associated reporting processes.</li><li>Knowledge of U.S. federal, state, local tax provisions with a strong understanding of or practical experience with tax laws in other countries, such as Canada.</li><li>Ability to comprehend and interpret tax law.</li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to preventing, identifying, and resolving issues.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and establish trust, respect, and confidence.</li><li>Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) effectively at all levels within an organization.</li><li>Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.</li><li>High degree of initiative and ability to work independently.</li><li>Critical thinking and decision-making skills.</li><li>Sense of professionalism, independent judgment, and an exceptional work ethic.</li></ul><strong>Languages</strong><ul><li>Fluent in English.</li></ul><strong>Technology</strong><ul><li>Knowledge of tax research techniques and tax research software.</li><li>MS Office, SAP, or similar enterprise-wide software.<br></li></ul>
