We are looking for a Web3 Discord Moderator to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment in our Discord server. You will work alongside our Community Lead and other mods to keep conversations on track, answer user questions, and spot issues before they escalate.
You don't need years of experience — but you do need solid crypto knowledge and a genuine interest in Web3 culture.
Key Responsibilities
Chat Oversight – Monitor Discord channels during your assigned shifts. Remove spam, off-topic messages, and rule violations.
User Support – Answer basic questions about the project, wallets, testnets, or token claims. Direct complex issues to the Community Lead.
Rule Enforcement – Apply warnings, mutes, or bans following clear moderation guidelines. Stay calm and professional at all times.
Scam Prevention – Identify and remove phishing links, fake giveaways, and impersonation attempts immediately.
Community Vibes – Engage in conversations, post memes (when appropriate), and help new members feel welcome.
Reporting – Flag recurring issues, user sentiment shifts, or potential FUD to the Community Lead.
What You BringMust-Have
Cryptocurrency knowledge – You understand basic Web3 concepts: wallets (MetaMask, Phantom), private keys, gas fees, testnets, NFTs, and common scam tactics.
Active Discord user – You know how channels, roles, and permissions work. You've been part of crypto communities before.
Good judgment – You can tell the difference between a frustrated user and a malicious one.
Reliable & available – You can commit to scheduled hours (evenings or weekends a plus).
Written communication – You type clearly and stay professional even when users are not.
Nice-to-Have (NOT required)
Previous moderation experience (any server, even non-crypto)
Familiarity with moderation bots (MEE6, Wick, Dyno)
Basic understanding of different chains (Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, etc.)
Speaks a second language (Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Turkish, or Russian are highly valuable)
You Are
Crypto curious – You don't need to be a degen, but you actually use crypto products and enjoy the space.
Level-headed – Trolls and angry users don't ruin your day. You handle situations with patience.
Team player – You communicate with other mods, don't go rogue, and follow the moderation playbook.
